Childcare Tutor

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Childcare Tutor to join our expanding team in Walkden, Greater Manchester. You will deliver high‑quality vocational learning to post‑16 learners studying Level 1 and Level 2 Childcare qualifications, guiding them from initial interview through to successful completion.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging teaching and assessment for Level 1 and Level 2 Childcare courses.
• Manage the full learner journey, from interview and assessment to accreditation and progression.
• Monitor and record learner progress, using assessment data to inform support.
• Provide pastoral and tutorial support, helping learners overcome barriers.
• Support learners with English and Maths qualifications in collaboration with specialist teams.
• Embed employability, social skills and personal development into learning activities.
• Utilise ICT and digital tools to enhance delivery and learner engagement.

Required profile

• Experience delivering vocational education in Childcare or related early years settings.
• Ability to inspire and motivate young learners.
• Strong organisational skills for managing learner records and progress tracking.
• Commitment to high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
