Children Panel Solicitor – Remote (East Midlands)

About the role

Eventus Legal is seeking an experienced Children Panel Solicitor to join a new regional operation in the East Midlands. This senior, full‑time role is primarily remote, supporting the firm’s expansion while delivering high‑quality public children law services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of public law children and care proceedings from instruction to conclusion.
• Draft legal documents and ensure case management complies with court directions and professional standards.
• Prepare and submit Legal Aid applications accurately.
• Represent clients in court, providing professional advocacy.
• Deliver empathetic, clear, and commercially responsible client care to families.
• Meet fee‑earner targets while maintaining high standards of service and compliance.
• Collaborate with the Regional Head to establish and grow the East Midlands presence.
• Leverage existing Guardian relationships to generate referrals and develop the regional care practice.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with current Children Panel accreditation.
• Extensive experience in care proceedings and public children law matters.
• Proven track record of senior case management and client advocacy.
• Established network within the Guardian system and strong referral relationships.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the CCMS portal for case management.
