Children with Disabilities Social Worker

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities team in the London Borough of Newham on a locum basis. You will work within a supportive, collaborative environment focused on achieving the best outcomes for children and young people with disabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake statutory assessments for children and young people with disabilities.
• Manage a varied caseload, including Child in Need and Child Protection work where required.
• Work closely with families and multi‑agency partners to deliver positive outcomes.

Required profile

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Previous experience in a Children with Disabilities or Children’s Services team.
• Strong assessment and safeguarding experience.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload effectively.
