About the role
The Community Paediatric Service is looking for an enthusiastic Children’s Clinic Assistant to help run community paediatric clinics across Manchester. You will support children with a range of disabilities and assist clinical teams to ensure smooth, safe clinic sessions.
Key responsibilities
- Promote the efficient running of community paediatric, child protection and initial health assessment clinics.
- Provide direct support to children with complex disabilities and challenging behaviour, and to their families/carers.
- Weigh and measure children and young people before consultations.
- Assist families with completing paperwork and ensure all patient information is ready for doctors.
- Deliver administrative support including typing, proof‑reading, referral management and documentation for child protection and health assessment clinics.
- Travel across the city to support locality clinics as required.
Required profile
- Motivated and aware of children’s disability issues.
- Good IT proficiency with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to travel across Manchester to attend multiple clinic sites.
- Team‑oriented attitude and ability to work in a fast‑paced clinical environment.

- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
