Children's Home Registered Manager

About the role

The Registered Manager will lead the launch of a new five‑bed children’s home in Banstead, providing a safe, nurturing environment for young people aged 11‑18 with emotional and behavioural needs. Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for establishing high‑quality residential care from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Set up the new home, including premises preparation and compliance with Ofsted standards.
• Recruit, train and manage a multidisciplinary team of residential staff.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and therapeutic programmes.
• Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory requirements are met.
• Manage budgets, resources and day‑to‑day operations of the home.
• Build relationships with external partners, agencies and families.
• Promote the values of social pedagogy, empowerment and wellbeing throughout the service.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing a children’s residential setting or comparable social‑care environment.
• Strong leadership and team‑building skills.
• Commitment to the charity’s values and to delivering high‑quality care.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted inspection criteria and relevant legislation.
• Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
