Children's Home Registered Manager (Wallasey)

About the role

Join an established care provider delivering residential support for children and young adults with learning difficulties and challenging behaviour. The role is based in a children’s home in Wallasey, working Monday to Friday with a dedicated team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the residential home, caring for boys and girls aged 6‑16.
• Support and lead a team of four support workers, the deputy, and the team leader.
• Create and manage staff rotas, ensure care plans are followed, and assist the manager in running the home.
• Maintain high standards of emotional and educational support for residents.

Required profile

• Current Children’s Home Registered Manager qualification.
• Residence in or around Wallasey and a full UK driving licence (vehicle preferred).
• NVQ Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce (essential); Level 5 or enrolment in Level 5 is a strong advantage.
• Minimum two years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial role within residential child care.
