Children's Home Senior Support Worker

About the role

Join a growing care provider as a Senior Support Worker in a newly opened children’s residential home in Wrexham. You will help children and teenagers with challenging behaviour develop essential life skills while ensuring a safe, nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily personal care, including breakfast preparation, dressing, bathing, and bedtime routines.
• Support children with school attendance, transport, and extracurricular activities.
• Prepare and serve meals, manage laundry, and maintain a clean living space.
• Offer emotional support and promote learning and development.
• Work a rotating schedule of two full days and nights followed by four days off.

Required profile

• Residence in or around Wrexham.
• Full UK driving licence; own vehicle preferred (house car available).
• NVQ Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce (or working towards it).
• Relevant experience in children’s residential settings.

Required skills

What we offer

• Hourly rate £15.94 (with Level 3) or £15.33 (without).
• £60 per sleep‑in shift.
• 224 hours holiday per year plus extra days after two years.
• Bank holidays paid at 1.5×.
