Children's Home Team Leader

About the role

The Children’s Home Team Leader is responsible for the day‑to‑day wellbeing of young people living in our residential home. You will support them through highs and lows, helping them regain a sense of childhood and build pathways to adulthood.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the home to ensure a safe, nurturing environment.
• Provide direct support to young people, addressing social, emotional and mental health needs.
• Lead, mentor and support the care staff, stepping in for the Registered or Deputy Manager when required.
• Maintain high standards of care, health and safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to build trusting relationships with vulnerable young people.
• Compassionate, emotionally resilient and able to inspire colleagues.
• Experience working in residential or youth care settings is desirable.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional night‑time ‘sleep‑ins’.

• Competitive base salary (£35,400‑£42,664) plus attendance, sleep‑in and responsibility allowances.
