Children's Home Team Leader – Residential Care

About the role

The Children’s Home Team Leader supports young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, helping them regain a sense of childhood and build pathways to adulthood. You will ensure day‑to‑day operations run smoothly while providing inspirational leadership to staff.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily care routines and ensure a safe, nurturing environment for residents.
• Support and develop the care team, stepping in for the Registered or Deputy Manager when required.
• Maintain high standards of care, health and safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Build positive relationships with young people, encouraging their personal growth.
• Manage attendance, sleep‑in duties and other operational tasks.

Required profile

• Compassionate, emotionally resilient and able to relate to vulnerable youth.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and support staff.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality care and continuous improvement.

• Base salary between £39,680 and £46,944 per year.
• Additional sleep‑in allowance (£80 per night, up to 3 nights per month) and attendance bonus up to £1,400.
