Children's Residential Support Worker – Full‑Time

About the role

We are seeking compassionate individuals to join a well‑established 5‑bed mixed‑gender children’s residential home in Stanford‑le‑Hope. The role involves providing person‑centred care for young people aged 8‑18 with learning disabilities, helping them develop independence, emotional wellbeing and positive life outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality care, supporting daily routines, personal hygiene, education and social development.
• Promote independence, positive behaviour and emotional resilience.
• Maintain accurate records in line with safeguarding and regulatory standards.
• Assist young people with community activities, appointments and outings.
• Work collaboratively within a supportive care team.

Required profile

• Age 22 + and a full UK manual driving licence held for at least two years.
• Previous experience in a residential or care setting.
• Right to work in the UK and a genuine commitment to safeguarding children.
• Full flexibility, reliability and strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience supporting children with learning disabilities, autism or sensory needs.
• Knowledge of positive behaviour support strategies.
