Children's Residential Support Worker – Full‑time

About the role

As a Children’s Residential Support Worker you will be a key part of daily life for young people living in our homes. You will help them regain a sense of childhood, support their emotional and mental health needs, and guide them toward a positive future.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure young people are ready for school each morning and support them with homework.
• Plan and deliver a variety of activities, from sports and gaming to outings such as go‑karting.
• Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records.
• Provide evening and weekend supervision, creating a safe and enjoyable environment.
• Collaborate with the care team to develop individual care plans.

Required profile

• Reliability and a strong commitment to attendance.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and occasional sleep‑ins.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with young people.
• Flexibility to adapt to the varied needs of each resident.

• None – the role focuses on caring and interpersonal support rather than technical expertise.

What we offer

• Base salary £29,034‑£35,400 per annum.
• Sleep‑in allowance up to £3,840 per year (£80 per sleep‑in, up to 4 per month).
