Children's Residential Support Worker

About the role

We are seeking compassionate and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Children’s Residential Support Workers in the North East. In this agency‑based position you will help children and young people with emotional, behavioural and social needs thrive in a safe, nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality care and support to children and young people.
• Build positive, trusting relationships and promote emotional wellbeing.
• Support daily routines, including education, social activities and independent living skills.
• Maintain accurate records and complete required reports.
• Safeguard the welfare of children at all times and use positive behaviour support strategies.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with children and young people.
• Caring, patient and resilient attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond appropriately to challenging situations.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
