About the role

We are seeking a caring and resilient Support Worker to join a residential childcare team in South East London. The role involves supporting children and young people to build confidence, develop independence and thrive in a safe, nurturing home environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support children and young people in a residential setting.
• Safeguard and promote welfare at all times.
• Act as a key worker, building positive relationships.
• Support education, independence and life‑skills development.
• Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate records and reports.
• Collaborate closely with families and professionals.
• Participate in activities, outings and daily routines.

Required profile

• Experience working with children and young people.
• Passion for making a positive difference.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Understanding of safeguarding principles.
• Full UK driving licence (desirable).
