Children's Residential Support Worker – Support Young People

About the role
As a Children’s Residential Support Worker you will be a key part of daily life for young people living in our home. You will help them regain a sense of childhood, support their emotional and mental health needs, and guide them toward a positive future.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure young people are ready for school each morning and support them with homework.
- Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate records.
- Plan and deliver a variety of activities, from sports and games to creative projects.
- Provide evening and weekend supervision, including recreational time on Xbox, football, film days or outings.
- Offer emotional support and help manage social, emotional and mental health challenges.
Required profile
- Compassionate and resilient attitude toward working with vulnerable youth.
- Reliable attendance and willingness to undertake up to four paid sleep‑ins per month.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Strong communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset.
Required skills
What we offer
- Base salary between £29,034 and £35,400 per year.
- Additional pay for up to four sleep‑ins (£80 each) and an attendance allowance of £1,400.
- Four‑week induction via our Care Academy.
