Children's Senior Social Worker – CWD (Rochdale)

About the role

Our client, a Greater Manchester council, is looking for a Senior Social Worker to join the Children with Disability (CWD) team in Rochdale. You will work directly with children who have disabilities and their families, ensuring statutory duties are met and positive outcomes are achieved.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of children with disabilities, delivering assessments, care plans and safeguarding interventions.
• Collaborate with education, health and other partner agencies to coordinate multi‑agency support.
• Lead on complex cases, providing expert guidance to colleagues.
• Prepare high‑quality reports and represent the council at court, reviews and multi‑agency meetings.
• Ensure children’s voices are central to all assessments, plans and decisions.

Required profile

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Minimum three years’ experience as a qualified social worker.
