Children's Social Worker – CWD Team (Temporary)

About the role

Our client, a Yorkshire council, is looking for a qualified Children’s Social Worker to join their Children with Disabilities (CWD) team on a temporary full‑time basis. You will work directly with children, families and partner agencies to safeguard vulnerable young people and promote positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of children and young people with disabilities, conducting assessments, reviews and care planning in line with statutory requirements.
• Collaborate with children, families and partner agencies to safeguard children and provide appropriate support.
• Complete Child in Need, Child Protection and Care Proceedings work, ensuring all assessments and plans are child‑focused.
• Attend and contribute to multi‑agency meetings, reviews and conferences, offering professional advice and recommendations.
• Maintain accurate and timely case records, reports and statutory documentation in accordance with legislation and local procedures.

Required profile

• Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
• Minimum of three years’ experience working as a qualified social worker.
