Children's Social Worker – Help and Protection

About the role
Provide professional social care services for children, young people and families in Doncaster, focusing on help and protection. The role involves statutory and voluntary activities to achieve the best outcomes for children at risk of significant harm.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out compliant assessments and Section 47 enquiries, identifying risk levels and needs based on documented evidence.
- Record and analyse assessment information, produce clear plans and reports for children in need, looked after, or at risk.
- Engage with children, carers and families to understand circumstances and direct long‑term interventions.
- Prepare court statements and reports, and collaborate with colleagues and partner agencies across Doncaster Council.
Required profile
- Full registration with Remedy for all locum positions.
- Successful completion of an Enhanced Disclosure (DBS) check.
