Children's Social Worker – Locality Team

About the role

Join a Yorkshire council’s Locality Team as a Children’s Social Worker, supporting vulnerable children and families in the community. You will work on a varied caseload, ensuring each child’s welfare remains the priority.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of children and families, conducting assessments, planning and interventions.
• Complete Child in Need, Child Protection and Care Proceedings work, keeping children at the centre of decision‑making.
• Collaborate with families, schools and multi‑agency professionals to safeguard children and reduce risk.
• Attend statutory meetings, conferences and reviews, providing professional recommendations.
• Maintain accurate, timely case records, assessments and reports in line with statutory requirements.

Required profile

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a qualified social worker.

Required skills

• No specific technical skills required.
