Children's Social Worker – Multi‑Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH)

About the role

Our client, Conwy County Borough Council, is seeking an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join the Multi‑Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team on a temporary basis. The role involves delivering high‑quality duty social work services at the front‑door referral point, supporting families and safeguarding children.

Key responsibilities

• Triaging and assessing referrals received through the MASH.
• Making initial decisions, sign‑posting services and delivering short‑term interventions.
• Working closely with the Team Manager to ensure timely and appropriate action.
• Complying with the Social Services and Wellbeing Act (2014) and All Wales Safeguarding Procedures.

Required profile

• Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Registered with Social Care Wales.
• Training and experience in Child Protection and Section 47 investigations.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal abilities.
• Resident within a commutable distance to Conwy County.

Required skills

• Proficiency with relevant technology and software used in social care.
