Children's Support Worker – Residential & Community Care

About the role

Paragon Social Care is seeking compassionate individuals to provide specialist support for children and young people in residential and community settings across Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire. You will help deliver stable, trauma‑informed care, encouraging independence and positive outcomes for each young person.

Key responsibilities

• Providing safe, consistent and trauma‑informed support to children and young people.
• Building positive, professional relationships based on trust and respect.
• Supporting education, life‑skills and independence.
• Encouraging participation in hobbies, activities and healthy routines.
• Transporting young people to school, appointments and community activities.
• Working alongside professionals to deliver high‑quality care.
• Completing accurate records and contributing to safeguarding processes.

Required profile

• Caring, patient and emotionally resilient.
• Reliable with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Confident communicator with young people and professionals.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and able to adapt to changing situations.
• Passionate about helping children achieve positive outcomes.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Available to work a minimum of 2‑3 shifts per week.
• Willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS check.

What we offer

• £17.50‑£24.00 per hour PAYE (including holiday pay).
• £20.00‑£28.00 per hour Umbrella.
