Children's Support Worker – Stockport & Cheshire

About the role
Join a specialist residential crisis team delivering vital support to vulnerable young people in Stockport and Cheshire. You will help create a safe, structured environment where children in crisis can rebuild confidence and hope.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day residential care, including activities, appointments and family contact.
- Engage with young people using creative, trust‑building methods.
- De‑escalate heightened behaviours to maintain a safe environment.
- Complete daily records and incident reports to inform care plans.
Required profile
- Minimum 6 months paid UK care experience (residential preferred).
- Strong de‑escalation abilities and a calm, resilient mindset.
- DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply).
- PMVA training highly desirable.
- UK driving licence with business insurance preferred for community activities.
Required skills
- DBS compliance.
- Basic knowledge of PMVA principles.
