About the role

Bailey Nelson is seeking enthusiastic Christmas Casual Optical Assistants to join the Brighton store for the peak holiday season. This temporary role runs from early November 2026 to the end of January 2027 and involves delivering exceptional customer experiences in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Guide customers through their eyecare journey, offering styling advice, frame recommendations and tailored vision solutions.
• Assist with optical requirements, ensuring each visit is warm, engaging and memorable.
• Maintain high store standards, bring positivity and energy, and support peak trading periods.
• Collaborate with fellow assistants, store leaders and optometrists to keep operations running smoothly.

Required profile

• Full availability from early November 2026 to late January 2027, including weekends and extra weekday shifts.
• Previous customer‑service experience in retail, hospitality or a similarly fast‑paced environment.
• Positive, enthusiastic attitude with strong problem‑solving and time‑management skills.
• Reliable, organized and able to work well within a team.
