Civil Engineer – Data Centres (London) – 9-Day Fortnight

About the role

We are recruiting two Civil Engineers for a leading international multidisciplinary engineering consultancy working on data centre and mission‑critical infrastructure projects in London. The role offers hybrid working and a 9‑day fortnight, with a clear pathway towards chartership and career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Produce civil engineering designs from concept through detailed design, including levels, highways, pavements, drainage, earthworks and flood mitigation.
• Coordinate below‑ground utilities such as drainage, ducts and services.
• Liaise with clients, architects and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Manage smaller projects independently and support larger, complex schemes.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations and design documentation.
• Obtain approvals from local authorities, Building Control, utility providers and statutory bodies.
• Support BIM delivery across projects.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years’ experience in a civil engineering consultancy.
• Experience designing highways, drainage, levels, earthworks and external works.
• Familiarity with UK design standards, Eurocodes, British Standards and Building Regulations.
• Experience working with local authorities, the Environment Agency, utility providers and Building Control.
• Understanding of Section 104, 106 and 278 approvals is advantageous.
