Civil Engineer – Gloucester

About the role

We are seeking a Civil Engineer to join a well‑established multi‑disciplinary consultancy in Gloucester. The role involves delivering infrastructure design solutions from concept through to construction across a variety of residential, commercial and leisure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed designs for highways, drainage and earthworks on development projects.
• Prepare technical drawings and design information from initial concept to construction.
• Undertake Flood Risk Assessments and design Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS).
• Work on Section and 185 agreements.
• Support and mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and assisting with report writing.

Required profile

• Relevant Civil Engineering degree.
• Minimum one year of experience in a civil engineering role.
• Experience preparing Flood Risk Assessments and drainage statements/strategies.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and MicroDrainage, and familiarity with Site3D and/or Civil 3D.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
