Civil Engineer – Multi‑disciplinary Projects (Braintree/London)

About the role

Barker Associates is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its multi‑disciplinary team, working on a diverse portfolio of projects across the UK. The position can be based in either the Braintree or London office and may include hybrid working, depending on business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop technical designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Prepare calculations and hydraulic models with senior support.
• Inspect infrastructure and produce follow‑up technical reports.
• Draft documentation and project drawings for final issue.
• Attend meetings, including pre‑contract visits and client briefs.

Required profile

• Civil Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, InfoDrainage and Civil 3D.
• Professional ambition to progress towards EngTech, IEng or CEng (MICE).
• Full clean driving licence with access to a vehicle.
• Successful DBS Enhanced check.
