Civil Engineering Foreman – Large-Scale Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Foreman to lead on a multi-year infrastructure project in Middlesbrough. The role involves overseeing large-scale earthworks, structural concrete works and utility diversions while maintaining a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise multi-disciplinary site crews, subcontractors and plant operations to achieve daily production targets.
• Translate look-ahead schedules into daily briefings and toolbox talks.
• Enforce RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) and conduct setting-out checks.
• Manage material deliveries and ensure work complies with engineering specifications.
• Problem-solve on-site issues to keep the project on schedule.

Required profile

• 3-5 years’ experience as a Foreman or Section Foreman on large civil engineering projects (highways, rail, drainage, earthworks or structures).
• Relevant health and safety certifications such as SSSTS or SMSTS (preferred).
• Valid CSCS Gold or Black Card.
• First Aid at Work certification.
• Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
