Civil Engineering Modularisation Engineer

About the role

Join the Manufacturing Engineering Modularisation Development Programme (MDP) team at Rolls‑Royce SMR to support civil modularisation demonstrator projects. You will work across Derby, Manchester or Warrington with hybrid flexibility and a weekly on‑site presence at Factory 2050 in Sheffield.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of civil engineering demonstrator projects that validate modular construction approaches.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and construction teams to ensure designs are manufacturable, assembleable and deployable.
• Work closely with suppliers and delivery partners to align with Rolls‑Royce SMR construction and assembly strategies.
• Help manage project activities to meet safety, quality, cost and schedule objectives.
• Coordinate with project engineers, civil engineers, design, procurement and quality teams.
• Contribute data and insights to advance the modularisation and site‑factory strategy.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering civil engineering projects, managing technical, financial and commercial risks.
• Strong commitment to safety and experience working in highly regulated environments.
• Ability to operate within complex project settings and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
