Civil/Structural Pre-Construction Engineer

About the role

Join one of Europe’s leading international main contractors as a Civil/Structural Pre‑Construction Engineer. You will be instrumental in shaping major civil and structural projects from the tender stage through to construction start, working on high‑profile, technically complex developments across the UK and Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Support pre‑construction and bid teams on large‑scale civil and structural projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation during tender and pre‑construction phases.
• Conduct buildability reviews, value‑engineering studies and develop construction methodologies.
• Assist with programme development, procurement planning and risk assessments.
• Coordinate with design, estimating, commercial and delivery teams to produce competitive technical solutions.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors throughout the pre‑construction process.
• Ensure technical submissions are compliant, accurate and commercially viable.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Civil/Structural Pre‑Construction Engineer, Civil Engineer, Structural Engineer, Design Engineer or Project Engineer.
• Strong understanding of civil and structural engineering principles on major construction projects.
• Experience in data‑centre, industrial, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, infrastructure or large‑scale commercial environments.
• Excellent technical, planning and communication abilities.
• Full right to work in the UK.
