Claims Handler – APA or CIP Qualified – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Claims Handler to join a fast‑growing VC‑backed tech company that uses AI to streamline insurance claims. The position is fully remote within the UK and offers the chance to manage claims from initial notification through to settlement.

Key responsibilities

• Handle end‑to‑end claims processing, from first notice of loss to final settlement.
• Communicate with policyholders throughout the claims journey to ensure a positive experience.
• Review documentation, verify coverage, assess liability and set appropriate reserves.
• Identify potential fraud indicators and escalate when necessary.
• Maintain accurate claims records for audit and compliance purposes.
• Contribute to process improvement by flagging inefficiencies.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months experience in claims handling or a similar role.
• APA or CIP qualification – mandatory.
• Experience with personal lines insurance (e.g., pet, travel, gadget, auto, property).
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Data‑driven decision‑making mindset.
• Team‑oriented, hardworking and ambitious.
