Claims Handler – Manchester City Centre

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Claims Handler to join a leading claims organisation in Manchester City Centre. The role is office‑based, full‑time, and involves managing a portfolio of motor, credit hire or personal injury claims, ensuring customers receive a smooth and supportive experience from first notice of loss to resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Contact customers daily to guide them through the claims journey and provide updates.
• Identify and remove barriers that prevent claims from progressing.
• Re‑engage customers who have become disengaged and maximise claim conversion.
• Liaise with internal departments and external partners such as repair garages and legal teams.
• Resolve customer concerns, maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance.
• Drive claim retention and achieve target‑driven performance metrics.

Required profile

• Previous experience in motor claims, insurance, credit hire, vehicle repair or personal injury.
• Strong telephone communication and objection‑handling abilities.
• Excellent customer service and relationship‑building skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a target‑driven environment.
