Claims Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Claims Team Leader to join a leading global loss adjusting firm. You will oversee a specialist team of claims handlers, ensuring high‑quality service delivery and compliance with service level agreements. This role combines hands‑on claims expertise with strong people‑management responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide management support and leadership to a team of claims handlers.
• Monitor the full lifecycle of claims to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Manage team workload, holidays and absences.
• Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, performance appraisals and identify training needs.
• Handle complaint calls received by the team and drive resolution.
• Motivate the team to achieve targets and personal development goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a team leader or supervisor in insurance claims.
• Strong management and decision‑making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, pressured environment.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
