Class 1 ADR HGV Tanker Driver – Full‑time

About the role

AA Lock Transport is seeking an experienced Class 1 ADR HGV Tanker Driver to join its family‑run team in Headcorn, Kent. This full‑time, permanent position involves safely transporting chemical products on a regular schedule, with a consistent start and finish at the same depot each week.

Key responsibilities

• Complete full tanker training under experienced driver trainers.
• Safely load, secure, and deliver chemical products in compliance with ADR regulations.
• Maintain accurate tachograph records; all tachograph hours and breaks are paid.
• Communicate any delays or issues promptly to the transport team.
• Adhere to company safety policies and professional standards.

Required profile

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence with a minimum of 2 years’ Class 1 driving experience.
• Current Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Valid ADR licence (all classes except 1 & 7 in tanks).
• Professional attitude with a strong focus on safety.

Required skills

• Operating heavy goods vehicles (HGV) equipped with ADR tanker compartments.
• Understanding of ADR regulations and chemical handling procedures.
• Proficiency with digital tachograph equipment.
