Class 1 (C+E) Car Transporter Operator – Permanent

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Class 1 (C+E) driver to operate our car transporters for Woodside Motorfreight. The role involves delivering vehicles safely across Great Britain while providing a professional handover to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Safe, efficient and responsible driving of company car‑transporter vehicle.
• Present the vehicle to the customer and conduct a full handover, explaining controls and features.
• Complete delivery documentation using electronic platforms such as tablets or smartphones.

Required profile

• Valid HGV Class C&E (Class 1) licence.
• Digital tachograph card and CPC qualification.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant driving experience.
• Clean driving record (up to 6 penalty points acceptable).
• Right to work in the UK and good knowledge of drivers’ hours and WTD regulations.

Required skills

• Operation of digital tachograph equipment.
• Use of electronic documentation tools (tablet/smartphone).
• Understanding of WTD drivers‑hours regulations.
