Class 1 Driver – Day Shift

About the role

We are looking for a Class 1 driver to join our day‑shift team at DX Network Services in Middlesbrough. You will transport parcels and freight between customer sites and our hubs, ensuring timely deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Drive HGV vehicles safely and legally, complying with all road regulations.
• Plan and follow on‑road routes to meet time‑sensitive delivery deadlines.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Adhere to driver‑hours and WTD legislation.
• Follow on‑site health and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence with no more than six penalty points and no DD/DR convictions.
• Possess a current DCPC card.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet delivery schedules.

Required skills

• Safe vehicle operation and compliance with legal requirements.
• Understanding of driver‑hours and WTD regulations.
• Ability to conduct vehicle safety checks.
