Class 1 Driver

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Class 1 driver to deliver and collect products for a reputable UK manufacturer. The role involves nationwide journeys, ensuring safe and timely deliveries while representing the company professionally.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects promptly.
• Complete and submit all required paperwork, including drivers’ digital tachograph data on a weekly basis.
• Unload and load goods safely, inspect product quality on arrival and report discrepancies.
• Verify site access is clear and safe before unloading, and capture photographic evidence of deliveries.
• Report incidents immediately and cooperate with corrective actions.
• Maintain compliance with Health & Safety and transport legislation throughout all operations.

Required profile

• CPC licence with no more than three penalty points.
• Valid HGV (Class 1) driving experience.
• Physically fit to load and unload products.
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills for customer‑facing interactions.
• CSCS card (available pre‑ or post‑offer).
• Willingness to undertake overnight stays with allowance.
