Class 1 Driver – Milk Tanker (5 on 3 off)

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Class 1 driver to collect fresh milk from local farms and deliver it to our depot in North Tawton. The role combines rural driving, sample handling and occasional transhipment work on a 5‑on‑3‑off shift pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Collect fresh milk from farms and deliver it safely to the depot.
• Take milk samples on collection, label them correctly and drop them off for laboratory testing.
• Perform daily vehicle safety checks using the company phone.
• Maintain regular communication with the transport team and report any issues.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay up‑to‑date with industry standards.

Required profile

• Valid UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Experience with milk tankers is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Strong geographical knowledge and ability to meet delivery deadlines.
