Class 1 HGV Driver – Days Shift – £16.50‑£19.61/hr

About the role

Russell Taylor is recruiting Class 1 (C+E) HGV drivers for a temp‑to‑perm position based near Warrington. The role offers day‑time shifts Monday‑Friday with competitive hourly rates and the prospect of a permanent contract after a 12‑week trial.

Key responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 trucks safely and professionally on scheduled routes.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and ensure loads are securely fastened before departure.
• Adhere to tachograph and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Accurately complete delivery paperwork and maintain customer service standards.

Required profile

• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• Minimum three months of UK Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than six penalty points and no disqualifications (DR/DD/IN).
• Reliable, professional attitude.

Required skills

• Class 1 (C+E) licence operation.
• Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
• Digital tachograph usage.
