Class 1 HGV Driver – Swindon

About the role

Responsive Personnel is seeking experienced Class 1 HGV drivers to join a client‑based operation in Swindon. The position is available on both part‑time and full‑time schedules, offering flexible hours for qualified drivers.

Key responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 vehicles for trunking and general haulage missions.
• Deliver goods safely and on time to a variety of destinations.
• Manoeuvre and operate different trailer types, including double‑deck trailers.
• Perform routine vehicle checks and ensure compliance with transport regulations.
• Limit manual handling and maintain a clean, safe working environment.

Required profile

• Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence.
• Minimum one year of Class 1 driving experience, preferably with double‑deck trailers.
• Valid CPC card and Digital Tachograph card.
• Maximum of six penalty points and no disqualifications, disqualification dates, or insurance endorsements.
