Class 1 Registered Building Inspector

About the role

VOX Consultants are seeking an experienced Class 1 Registered Building Inspector to join a local authority in West London on a six‑month ongoing contract. You will carry out site inspections, ensure compliance with Building Regulations and provide technical advice to a range of stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with Building Regulations and relevant legislation.
• Produce accurate, detailed inspection reports following each visit.
• Identify remedial actions required and advise contractors, developers and architects.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records and internal systems.
• Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to keep projects progressing efficiently.
• Ensure all work aligns with current legislation, policies and best practice.

Required profile

• Registration as a Registered Building Inspector (RBI).
• Previous experience in Building Control, preferably within a Local Authority.
• Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and associated legislation.
• Proven ability to carry out site inspections and produce technical reports.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational abilities and capacity to manage a busy workload.

What we offer

• Rate of £300 per day (umbrella arrangement).
