Class 1 Relief Driver

About the role

GXO Logistics is seeking a Class 1 Relief Driver to join its Breedon Cement team in Dagenham. The role involves providing driver cover across a nationwide delivery network, ensuring timely distribution of bulk powder products for the construction sector.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a Class 1 Bulk Powder Tanker safely to collect and deliver cement and related products.
• Load and discharge powder using pressurised systems while following all safety protocols.
• Perform routine vehicle checks and maintenance to maintain roadworthiness.
• Complete accurate delivery documentation and records.

Required profile

• Valid Category CE (Class 1) UK driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Ability to handle equipment safely; previous bulk tanker experience is a plus but not mandatory.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £18.92 (£47,224 per annum based on 48 h/week).
