Class 2 Driver & General Maintenance Operative

About the role

LondonEnergy is seeking a Class 2 Driver who will also act as a General Maintenance Operative at its Edmonton, North London site. You will keep the plant, buildings and grounds clean and safe while operating a range of vehicles and small mobile plant.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general labouring duties such as sweeping, hosing, shovelling and cleaning using mechanical equipment.
• Operate small mobile plant, forklift trucks, Gully Sucker and Road Sweeper.
• Load and unload materials with appropriate equipment.
• Carry out decorating tasks, minor repairs, paintwork and install safety equipment.
• Portering duties, including safe handling of hazardous substances.
• Complete documentation for planned maintenance activities.
• Drive Class 2 vehicles around the site on a rotating shift pattern.

Required profile

• Experience in outdoor labour, handyman work and basic electrical, plumbing or HVAC systems.
• Full driving licence with a valid Class 2 licence.
• Ability to work within a team on a rotating shift schedule (Monday‑Sunday).
• Previous experience in an industrial, civil engineering or building environment is desirable.
