Class 2 Driver – Trade Waste Collection

About the role

Join Countrystyle Recycling as a Class 2 Driver, collecting and emptying trade waste bins and sacks across the South East. You will operate modern dustcarts, provide excellent customer service and ensure safe handling of waste on public highways.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily vehicle checks and complete the Vehicle Defect sheet at start and end of each shift.
• Verify CCTV and inward‑facing cameras are functional before commencing work.
• Report any vehicle defects, tyre issues or incidents to the Fleet Office promptly.
• Collect waste, secure loads, and deliver to designated sites while adhering to health and safety standards.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and submit it on time.
• Refuel vehicles at the yard or on the return journey.
• Attend end‑of‑day de‑briefings with the Fleet Office.

Required profile

• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Minimum 2 years HGV driving experience.
• Valid HGV Class 2 licence.
• Current CPC and digi‑tacho certification.
