Class 2 HGV Driver – Full‑time, £42,922‑£46,500

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Class 2 HGV driver to join Brakes in Portbury. You will operate early‑morning shifts delivering ambient, chilled and frozen food products across the South West region, ensuring timely and safe deliveries while upholding the highest food‑hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a range of food products to customers on a 45‑hour weekly schedule, including occasional Saturdays.
• Load and unload goods, complete load plans and maintain accurate delivery records.
• Adhere to assigned routes and start times (04:30‑06:30) and comply with all safety and food‑handling procedures.
• Build positive relationships with customers and colleagues, representing the company professionally.

Required profile

• Valid Class 2 HGV licence with current CPC card.
• Proactive attitude with a strong commitment to customer service.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow established processes.
• Flexibility to work a shift system, including one Saturday in three.
