Class 2 HGV Driver – Kendal (Full‑time/Contractor)

About the role

Join a leading waste management team as a Class 2 HGV Driver, operating in Kendal and the surrounding North West England area. You will be responsible for safely collecting general and recyclable waste from commercial and domestic customers while delivering a reliable service in all weather conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Collect general and recyclable waste from commercial and domestic sites in Kendal and nearby locations.
• Operate the client’s refuse collection HGV safely, adhering to all road and safety regulations.
• Assist as a recycling operative when required.
• Complete and maintain accurate paperwork and documentation for each collection run.
• Work early‑morning shifts (4 am – 1 pm) and perform overtime as needed.

Required profile

• Physically fit and able to handle demanding workloads during peak periods.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Commitment to delivering a high‑standard, customer‑focused service.

Required skills

• Valid Category C (Class 2) HGV licence.
• Current Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital tachograph driver card.
