Class 2 HGV Driver – Kendal

About the role

Join our client’s waste collection team in Kendal as a Class 2 HGV Driver. You will operate refuse collection vehicles, collect commercial and domestic waste, and support recycling activities across the local area.

Key responsibilities

• Collect general and recyclable waste from commercial and domestic customers in Kendal and surrounding areas.
• Safely drive and operate HGV refuse collection vehicles.
• Assist as a recycling operative when required.
• Complete all paperwork and documentation accurately and on time.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, maintaining physical stamina during peak periods.

Required profile

• Valid Category C (Class 2) HGV driving licence.
• Current Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital tachograph driver card.
• Physically fit and able to work the shift 4 am – 1 pm, with overtime as needed.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Required skills

• Category C HGV licence operation.
• Driver CPC compliance.
• Digital tachograph usage.
