Class 2 HGV Driver – Permanent Role (2-3 Vacancies)

About the role

We are recruiting 2-3 permanent Class 2 HGV drivers for a well-established UK distribution business based in Middlesbrough. Drivers are the primary point of contact with customers, representing the company and ensuring reliable deliveries across multiple sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily vehicle safety checks and report defects.
• Deliver products on time following planned routes and schedules.
• Load and unload stock using appropriate equipment, including sack barrows and manual handling of kegs.
• Pick stock from pallets when required and secure loads with approved restraint systems.
• Verify deliveries against paperwork and complete all required documentation on handheld devices.
• Collect returns, reusable containers and equipment and return them safely to the depot.

Required profile

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Good understanding of driver hours legislation.

Required skills

• Digital tachograph operation.
