Class 2 HGV Driver / Sweeper – Night Shift

About the role

Veolia is seeking a Class 2 HGV Driver/Sweeper to join its night‑shift team. You will operate a range of heavy‑goods vehicles to collect waste, bulky items and sweeper sacks from domestic, commercial and highway sites.

Key responsibilities

• Drive HGVs such as 18t Dust Cast, 7.5t Cage or 12t Scarab according to daily requirements.
• Collect and remove waste from bins, wheeled containers, Paladin and Euro‑bin units.
• Clear any spillage on site to leave the area litter‑free.
• Comply with site rules, health & safety procedures and all road traffic legislation.
• Maintain an empty tipper and a clean cab at the end of each shift.
• Report fly‑tipping, graffiti, damaged or missing litter bins.
• Interact courteously with the public, client staff and colleagues.

Required profile

• Full, valid driving licence.
• Previous Class 2 HGV driving experience.
• Desirable: experience in waste collection or sweeper operation.

Required skills

• Class 2 HGV operation.
• Vehicle safety and load compliance.
