Class 2 HGV Driver – Waste Collection (Temp)

About the role
Join a dedicated team delivering waste collection services across the borough. As a Class 2 HGV driver you will operate council‑owned vehicles, ensuring safe and efficient removal of domestic, commercial and green waste during the afternoon shift.
Key responsibilities
- Collect household, commercial and green waste from assigned routes.
- Transport and tip waste at the local tip in compliance with disposal regulations.
- Maintain strict adherence to health and safety standards, including wearing steel‑toe boots at all times.
- Operate the vehicle safely, using Digi‑Tacho equipment and following CPC guidelines.
Required profile
- Valid Category C driving licence.
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) certification.
- Digi‑Tacho training.
- Previous experience driving HGVs.
