Class 2 HGV Multi Drop Driver

About the role

Unitruc LTD is seeking an experienced Class 2 HGV driver to perform multi‑drop deliveries across the South East, including Essex, Kent and London. You will operate an automatic Volvo or DAF truck, handling palletised loads for a range of commercial customers.

Key responsibilities

• Complete multiple deliveries or collections each day, following planned routes.
• Secure all pallets and perform daily tachograph and vehicle safety checks.
• Load and unload consignments, verifying against consignment notes.
• Communicate with the customer’s operational team and report any issues to Unitruc.
• Adhere to an 11‑hour workday schedule, with overtime paid after the standard hours.

Required profile

• Valid Class 2 HGV licence with experience in multi‑drop deliveries.
• Willingness to work early starts (5‑6 am) Monday‑Friday.
• Ability to think independently and solve routing or load‑positioning challenges.
• Commitment to safety, punctuality and clear communication.

Required skills

• ADR certification (training provided).
• Proficient tachograph operation.
• Pallet handling and load‑securing techniques.
• Operation of automatic transmission heavy‑goods vehicles.
