Class 2 Multi Drop Driver

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Class 2 (Category C) HGV driver to join a reputable wholesale distribution business in Southampton. You will operate a modern 26‑tonne vehicle, delivering food and drink products to retail, convenience and catering customers across the South East region. The role is Monday‑to‑Friday, starting at 05:00 am, offering a stable routine and weekends off.

Key responsibilities

• Complete scheduled multi‑drop deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Perform daily vehicle safety inspections and report any defects.
• Load and unload goods using tail lifts and manual handling equipment.
• Accurately record delivery paperwork and electronic proof of delivery (POD).
• Follow planned routes and comply with Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive, and tachograph regulations.
• Maintain high standards of road safety, professionalism, and vehicle cleanliness.
• Coordinate with transport and warehouse teams to ensure timely deliveries.

Required profile

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous experience in Class 2 multi‑drop deliveries.
• Good geographical knowledge of the South East and confident route planning.
• Friendly, professional attitude with strong customer service focus.
• Physically fit for manual handling duties.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently.

Required skills
